July 16th – every year has an unsaid charm for
me. Company I’m associated with began its India operations on this day in 2007.
First year was very successful; we had a gala celebration, pictures of which
are still there on our website. Then we saw de recession, however we kept our
chin up and have reached in 7th year.
Every year I make plan keeping
in mind team’s whims and fancies. Previous years I had put in special efforts
to make de day memorable. However, this time I was myself demotivated – just didn’t
had de inclination to go extra mile for team who’s constantly cribbing about
each other.
Anyways, let’s come back to celebrations. What did I do –
got a cake, decorated and cut it. In way as if nobody exists and they were all
shadows of their souls. Every year it was a celebration day, being wished by
dearest of friend and family. This year nobody did. Perhaps I don’t exist for
them anymore. I still wanted to treat myself well – it’s an achievement, to be
here and continuously find challenges where there are none! So……
Refrigerator is opened and ice cream tub brought out J Its delicious fruits
and nuts, and I’m loving its melting taste J
Hence while writing, I can still feel crunchy almonds somewhere in my mouth :D
